Today is the saddest day of my life.
As a doctor, I have cared for countless pregnant women, and every time I step into the delivery room, I pray that God blesses every mother. The pain women endure during childbirth is beyond words, and that doesn’t even include the nine months of pregnancy. They go through so much more to bring a new life into this world.
Today, I weep with sorrow because I lost a woman. We always pray that such tragedies never happen, but sometimes God has other plans.
Why is this case so heartbreaking? She had been unable to conceive for 14 years. We tried in vitro fertilization and many other treatments. She suffered so much…
Finally, God blessed her. It was beyond science and human understanding. She became pregnant despite having ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids. Her fibroid began to shrink, and everything seemed to be going well. I know it was God—He does things that reveal His glory and greatness.
After nine months, the time had come. Her husband brought her to the hospital, and I immediately left everything I was doing to care for her. After seven hours of labor, the pain became too severe, so we decided to perform a cesarean section.
We lost the mother, but the baby survived. Before she passed away, she held her baby in her arms, smiled, said, “God is great,” and then closed her eyes forever.
I was devastated. I went to tell her husband the heartbreaking news. The moment he heard it, he collapsed. Their happiest day had suddenly turned into their darkest. We lost one life while welcoming another into the world.
Please respect women, because they walk through the valley of death to bring life into this world. Respect your wife. Carrying a child for nine months is no small thing, and the long hours of labor are an incredible sacrifice.
I pray that God protects everyone reading this, especially pregnant women. Dear husbands, I say it again: respect your wives, because they are truly the givers of life. May God protect and bless all pregnant women.
Please don’t ignore this message. Share it with others because the women in our lives deserve to be honored and appreciated. And if you’ve had problems with your mother or haven’t called her in a long time, please do it now. She went through unimaginable pain to bring you into this world.
