During a recent interview with Us Weekly, Noah spoke about how his family is coping with the loss of Matt.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll we can say is that he was lost in the river,\u201d Noah explained. \u201cHe was lost in the river, and we found him. Right now, he\u2019s with the coroner. They\u2019re going to do an autopsy and everything like that. They haven\u2019t yet released the cause of death.\u201d<\/p>\n
Matt was reportedly discovered dead over the weekend after law enforcement searched for a man who was seen floating in the Okanogan River in Washington state.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was there, so they found him, and the small search team that had actually located him,\u201d Noah also shared. \u201cInstead of leaving the body where it was, they had loaded him into the small skiff and moved him to shore. Then, myself and the rest of the people that were looking hauled the skiff up further on the shore, and that\u2019s where it was when the coroner came.\u201d<\/p>\n
Noah further stated that he \u201cpersonally ID\u2019d\u201d his older brother at the scene. He and his family are now \u201clooking at different options\u201d regarding how to handle Matt\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe coroner currently has him, and once we hear from the coroner \u2026 Maybe Monday or Tuesday, then we\u2019ll know more, and know more for the next steps,\u201d he then noted. \u201cRight now, it\u2019s still in the process of just trying to come to terms with the fact that he\u2019s actually gone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Noah Pointed Out the Okanogan River Is \u2018Very Rough\u2019 And a \u2018Treacherous Area\u2019
\nMeanwhile, Noah explained that the Okanogan River, where his brother was found, is \u201cvery rough\u201d and in a \u201ctreacherous area.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a fishing spot in the area. The part where he apparently went in was a spot that\u2019s a fishing area, but again, we don\u2019t know really anything that happened,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cThe [Okanogan County Sheriff\u2019s Office] hasn\u2019t released a formal statement involving the details, and the coroner hasn\u2019t released any statement about the autopsy yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
Noah added that his family is trying to \u201cfocus on the positive\u201d at the moment.<\/p>\n
His other brother, Bear Brown, confirmed the news in a TikTok post.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey found a body in the river a few hours ago,\u201d Bear explained. \u201cAnd it was positively identified as being Matt. Noah was with them and helped them pull the body out of the water. Noah identified Matt.\u201d<\/p>\n
