But few transformations are as dramatic as the one Rosa Ramirez experienced after keeping the same hairstyle for 25 years. Rosa\u2019s story first made headlines in 2015, yet her transformation still amazes people today.<\/p>\n
For more than two decades, she let her hair grow untouched \u2014 so long, in fact, that she could accidentally step on it while walking. Although her husband gently encouraged her to consider a haircut over the years, Rosa hesitated. Her hair had become part of who she was.

By the time she finally decided to make the change, Rosa\u2019s hair measured nearly 1.5 meters (about five feet) in length. But she wasn\u2019t cutting it just for herself.
