Shania Twain Struggled Throughout the Night
\nIn fairness to the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” singer, it was Twain’s first time hosting the ACM Awards. There were also audio issues all evening, which threatened to derail Lee Ann Womack’s comeback bid during her duet with Parker McCollum. <\/p>\n
But Womack wasn’t the only one who was struggling. Twain’s opening monologue fell flat, opting to give readers a history of the Academy of Country Music rather than tell jokes and warm up the audience. <\/p>\n
Then, Twain mispronounced Ella Langley’s first name (“Ella,” not “Elle”) before her performance last night. However, we’re certain that the “Choosin’ Texas” singer forgot all about it after she won her seventh award last night. <\/p>\n
What Did People Say About Shania?
\nFans didn’t hold back when critiquing Twain’s first go-round as host. <\/p>\n
“Seriously, the worst host yall have ever had. Do better. Shania was horrid,” wrote one user. <\/p>\n
